1.) Can you tell our readers a bit about you?
I have been writing for the past 15 years. I am an avid reader and lover of books. I am also obsessed with bullet journaling.
2.)When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I realized I wanted to be a writer in high school. I had a 9th grade English teacher, Coach Paul, who really encouraged me and praised my writing.
3.)What do you like to do when you're not writing?
I love to read when I’m not writing. There is also Netflix and social media to keep me busy as well.
4.)What are common traps for aspiring writers?
Vanity publishing houses. Also thinking that you are going to become a best seller once you hit publish. You have to work to get your book out there to your audience. Once you hit publish, that is when the real work begins.
5.)What is your writing Kryptonite?
Social media, Netflix, and my own procrastination.
6.)Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?
I want each body of work to stand on its own. I do have a three book series in the works, but besides that project everything else is a stand alone.
7.)Do you believe in writer’s block?
I do. I believe it is a time and period in a writer’s creative mind that just stifles their ability to create.
8.)Where did your love of books/storytelling/reading/writing/etc. come from?
I have loved books for as long as I can remember. The magic of books to transport you into a different world, with different people is like nothing else.
9.)What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
I enjoyed the evolution of my main character, Norah. She struggles with love and letting people in from a place of fear and hurt. The ease in which her love interest breaks down her walls she’s put around herself was pure joy to write.
10.) Where can our readers find more about you and your books?
My book is currently on Amazon. I can be found on most social media platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, & Pinterest.
